The Wisconsin Badgers did not just host Minnesota in the last regular season game of its 2018 campaign, but also a slew of high school prospects.
From current commits to some prep standouts, quite a few recruits took in the action at Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Here is a list of some of those commits and recruits who we know were in Madison this weekend to take in the 128th meeting between the Badgers and Gophers. From what we have seen reported or tweeted, at least a few verbal commitments and some targets from around the Midwest made their way to Wisconsin.
ATH/ILB Leo Chenal
The three-star commit from Grantsburg, Wis., took in the final game of the regular season, as seen in the picture above. Chenal earned all-state honors from the WFCA and claimed the organization’s small school offensive and defensive player of the year awards.
RB Julius Davis
WR/S Michael Axelrood
Both recruiting services list nine offers for Axelrood. BadgerBlitz.com’s Jon McNamara caught up with the safety prospect ($) on Sunday.
K Joseph Stoll
OL Logan O’Brien
The in-state recruit from Fennimore, Wis., the same hometown as former walk-on turned starter Luke Swan, visited on Saturday. The lanyard on the photo below starts he is an offensive tackle, but Rivals also lists him as a defensive end.
TE Nicholas Kallerup
From Wayzata, Minn., he was named to the Minneapolis Star Tribune’s All-Metro team on offense.
2020 commit OL Dylan Barrett
I ran into the 247Sports composite three-star offensive lineman prior to the game.
DT Denver Warren
The 247Sports composite four-star defensive lineman was in Madison this weekend. The West Aurora, Ill., native recently de-committed from Michigan.
OL Sean Timmis
LB Brett Boram
From Menomonee Falls, Wis., his Hudl profile lists him as a linebacker and fullback. According to WisSports.net, Boram tallied 105 tackles, 16 for loss, along with seven sacks this past season.
DB Nate Valcarcel
The Greenfield, Wis. (Whitnall) prospect spoke with McNamara about his visit.
QB Athan Kaliakmanis
According to 247Sports, Kaliakmanis already has five offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and Central Michigan.
