The Wisconsin Badgers’ class of 2019 continues to take shape, and they extended another offer last week.
Louisville, Ky., linebacker Jared Casey tweeted on Sept. 21 that Wisconsin offered him. Rivals rates him as a four-star prospect and the No. 16 inside linebacker in the country, while 247Sports’ composite rankings designate him as a high three-star player and the No. 19 inside linebacker in the nation.
According to 247Sports, Casey holds 13 offers, including from Louisville, Oregon, Kentucky, and Purdue, among others. This past weekend, the ‘backer traveled to Eugene to watch the Ducks play on an official visit.
Both 247Sports and Rivals report Casey will visit Wisconsin the weekend of the Nebraska game, which is Oct. 6 and under the lights of Camp Randall Stadium.
Two Wisconsin targets commit elsewhere
The Badgers’ 2019 class could have grown in the past week, but two prep prospects verbally committed elsewhere.
Three-star defensive lineman Isaiah Gibson, who had Wisconsin in his final three programs, announced on Sept. 19 that he would play at Kentucky.
An Ohio native, Gibson officially visited Wisconsin back in early June.
