Wisconsin football: Alex Hornibrook concussion update for Minnesota

The Wisconsin Badgers released their final Axe Week injury report on Friday, and their offense will once again be without its starting right tackle. The Badgers downgraded redshirt junior David Edwards (left arm) to out for Saturday’s game against the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

That likely means redshirt freshman Logan Bruss will get the start at right tackle as he did in last week’s win against Purdue.

Starting quarterback Alex Hornibrook (head) remains questionable for Saturday’s rivalry matchup (2:30 p.m. CT, ESPN2). Offensive coordinator Joe Rudolph told reporters on Tuesday that Hornibrook “was able to do a little bit” during that day’s practice.

In better news, redshirt senior running back Taiwan Deal (right leg) was taken off the injury report.

Here is the final injury report:

Questionable

  • QB Alex Hornibrook (head)

Out for Minnesota

  • OL David Edwards (left arm)
