Wisconsin Badgers’ Sean Dhooghe named Big Ten’s first star of the week | Wisconsin Badgers Hockey

An additional time objective and four points in two games in opposition to Michigan last weekend gave the University of Wisconsin men’s hockey team’s Sean Dhooghe the Major 10 Conference’s first star of the week.

Dhooghe, a sophomore right wing, scored on a breakaway with 26.2 seconds left Friday for a 5-4 victory. He previously scored a power-enjoy objective in the match and had an assist.

He assisted on Ty Emberson’s tying objective late in regulation on Saturday, a match the Badgers gained 4-3 in additional time.

Dhooghe is UW’s first weekly 3 stars honoree because he was the first star on Dec. 11, 2018.

Minnesota ahead Brent Gates was the 2nd star, even though Ohio Point out ahead Tanner Laczynski was the 3rd star.

The Badgers enjoy at No. 18 Penn Point out in a best-of-3 Major 10 quarterfinal series starting up Friday.
