MADISON – A big piece of the Wisconsin Badgers offensive line will be back for 2019, as the team announced on Twitter Thursday that center Tyler Biadasz of Amherst will return for his redshirt junior season.
The 6-foot-3 319-pound Biadasz received first-team All-Big Ten honors in 2018 and also was an honorable mention All-American selection.
He started all 27 games during his two seasons with the Badgers and was rated as the nation’s top collegiate center in 2018 by Pro Football Focus, according to uwbadgers.com.
Biadasz returning to the Badgers will help bolster an offensive line already losing three of the five starters from 2018 – redshirt seniors Michael Deiter and Beau Benzschawel, and redshirt junior right tackle David Edwards, who declared for the 2019 NFL Draft.
The Badgers offensive line helped generate a rushing attack that ran for 273.4 yards per game in 2018, sixth-best in the country.
