
PARADISE ISLAND, BAHAMAS (WSAU-WHBL) – The Wisconsin Badgers advanced to the title game of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament with a resounding 78-58 win over previously undefeated Oklahoma on Thursday. The win moves the 25th ranked Badgers to 5-0 this season.
D’Mitrik Trice was 7-of-8 from behind the three-point line, and made his first 7 shots from behind the arc. He finished with a career-high 25 points. The Badgers outside shooting was solid, hitting 8-of-9 three-pointers in the second half. Oklahoma shot 46-percent from the floor after halftime, but could not cut into Wisconsin’s lead. The Badgers put the game out of reach with a 10-0 run in the second half.
Christian James scored 18 points for the Sooners, who fell to 4-1 for the season.
Wisconsin will play 4th ranked Virginia in the finals Friday afternoon at 1 o’clock. Virginia advanced with a 66-59 win over Dayton on Thursday. The Badgers are ranked 25th.
