New York – Three former Wisconsin Badgers have been rewarded with Pro Bowl selections.
Texans defensive end J.J. Watt is having a bounce-back season after injuries limited him to just eight games total the past two seasons.
Watt has 14.5 sacks, and he’s tied for the league-high with six forced fumbles. This is his fifth career Pro Bowl selection.
Chargers running back Melvin Gordon was on pace for a career-best season, but he’s missed the last three games with a sprained MCL. He’s racked up 802 rushing yards and nine touchdowns while hauling in 453 receiving yards and four TDs. This is his second Pro Bowl selection.
Gordon’s former Wisconsin teammate and current Los Angeles teammate Derek Watt was named as an alternate at fullback.
The Pro Bowl is Jan. 27 in Orlando, Florida.
