The game against Miami will be Coan’s fifth game this year for Wisconsin. His sophomore redshirt will be pulled and he will be considered a junior next year.
Hornibrook’s head injury has been an ongoing issue throughout the 2018 season. He did not play in three games this season due to his concussion. He sat out against Northwestern on Oct. 27, but played the following week against Rutgers before leaving the game in the second half with concussion-like symptoms. Then Hornibrook sat out Nov. 10 against Penn State and Nov. 17 against Purdue. He returned to the field to play against Minnesota on Nov. 24.
Last year in the Badgers’ Orange Bowl against the Hurricanes, Hornibrook threw for 258 yards and four touchdowns as Wisconsin defeated Miami 34-24.
The Badgers will take on the Miami Hurricanes in the Pinstripe Bowl on Dec. 27.
