MADISON, Wi (WSAU-WHBL) – The Purdue Boilermakers got 36 points from Carsen Edwards and beat the Wisconsin Badgers 84-80 in overtime on Friday night at the Kohl Center.
Purdue hit 17 of 30 from the foul line including 8 of 12 in the overtime period. They also took advantage of 17 Badger turnovers, including two at the end of overtime.
Ethan Happ led the Badgers with 31 points, 13 rebounds and six assists. But Happ also committed eight turnovers. D’Mitrick Trice had 17 points and Brad Davison added 13.
Wisconsin’s second consecutive home loss dropped them to 11-5, 3-2 in the Big Ten.
Wisconsin will play at Maryland on Monday night.
