Pinstripe Bowl a homecoming for some Badgers

New York, N.Y. (WKOW)  The Badgers are in New York Monday, getting set for Thursday’s Pinstripe Bowl against Miami.
It’s a bit of a homecoming for a few guys.

Starting quarterback Jack Coan is from Sayville, which is on Long Island, about an hour from Yankee Stadium.

Star running back Jonathan Taylor is from Salem, New Jersey, which is about two hours away.
He was originally committed to Rutgers to keep him local but decided on Wisconsin instead.

“I’m very excited.  I’ll have a lot of family and friends there.  Closest we’ve played so far is Penn State.  Definitely, to get another opportunity to come out and watch me, it should be a fun experience.  Aaron Cruickshank is from the area and I’ve been there multiple times.  But I’m sure he’ll show me things I haven’t seen before and I’ll do my best to show some of the guys who haven’t been there some of the cool sights that’s there. It should be a fun experience,” Taylor said.

Thursday’s kickoff against Miami is set for 4:15 PM.
