Evaluating the Badgers’ new moves in the 2020 class

Wisconsin Football has been extending new offers all over the country over the last couple of weeks. Could any of these prospects be future Badgers?

The class of 2019 recruiting cycle is nearing its end, and the Wisconsin football staff is putting its finishing touches on a class that is loaded with talent. The 19 players who, barring any last-minute surprises, will be signing their National Letters of Intent once the Early Signing Period begins on Wednesday collectively form a group that is already expected to achieve great things in Madison.

While it’s possible that the Badgers could pick up another late addition or two to the class before the final signing date of January 15, such as recently-offered Louisiana Tech commit Deshon Hall, there’s a good chance that this group of commits is set in stone.

As such, Wisconsin’s focus now turns to the class of 2020, which is off to a fantastic start with commitments from 4-star tackles Jack Nelson and Trey Wedig, as well as from two other solid offensive line prospects in 3-stars Dylan Barrett and Ben Barten.

Taking advantage of the roughly one month period of time between their final game of the season against Minnesota on November 24 and their rematch with Miami in the Pinstripe Bowl on December 27, the Badgers have been very active on the recruiting trail, adding several new prospects to their board of targets.

Let’s take a closer, position by position look at this new crop of recruits the staff is after.
