College football polls, rankings, Week 9: Wisconsin Badgers results

Wisconsin moved up in one of the major polls on Sunday afternoon, as the Badgers bumped up to No. 20 in the AP Top 25.

That’s a three-spot bump for Wisconsin (5-2, 3-1 Big Ten) entering this week as they prepare to face Northwestern on the road in Evanston in a key Big Ten West divisional match-up.

In the Amway Coaches poll, UW stayed the same at No. 19.

The AP poll now shows Big Ten programs Michigan (No. 5, up one spot), Ohio State (No. 11, down nine), Penn State (No. 17, up one), Iowa (No. 18, up four) and Wisconsin.

For the coaches poll, conference representatives include the Wolverines (No. 5, up two), Buckeyes (No. 9, down seven), Nittany Lions (No. 16, no movement), Hawkeyes (No. 18, up four) and Badgers.

In Bill Connelly’s S&P+ ratings, Wisconsin holds at No. 13, up three spots from last week.
