A loss at Western Kentucky to end non-conference play cost the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team in the rankings.
The Badgers dropped seven spots to No. 22 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll after their 83-76 loss to the Hilltoppers Saturday night in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Meanwhile, UW (10-3) dropped to No. 13 in the NET rankings.
The Badgers are one of seven teams in the AP poll, joining No. 2 Michigan, No. 8 Michigan State, No. 14 Ohio State, No. 21 Indiana, No. 24 Nebraska and No. 25 Iowa.
Six of the top 21 teams in the NET rankings are from the Big Ten: No. 2 Michigan, No. 9 Michigan State, No. 12 Nebraska, UW, No. 20 Indiana and No. 21 Ohio State.
UW returns to conference play Thursday with a game against Minnesota (11-2) at the Kohl Center.
